EMDR therapist in Farmington, Connecticut

Meet Laura

Therapy for women committed to transforming mental chaos into grounded confidence.

Does this sound familiar?

You might feel all over the place right now—like you're managing some things well but really crumbling under the weight of others. Deep down, you know you're on the right track. You don't need a fixer— You need a guide, a co-pilot to help you discover a new way forward.

Hi, I’m Laura.

I help women who are ready to stop carrying it all —pain, exhaustion, guilt, overwhelm. You know you cannot outthink patterns that run deeper than your thoughts—you’ve tried that and it just doesn’t work.

Together, we’ll uncover what’s been stuck underneath — so you can feel lighter, steadier, and free to enjoy the life you’ve worked hard to build.

I see you. I see how much you’ve carried.

Let’s do therapy differently.

Young woman with shoulder-length brown hair, wearing a black cardigan over a striped shirt, sitting on a beige sofa with plants in the background.

This is your invitation to go deeper — to get to the root and finally feel real relief.

My Approach

At its core, therapy is about curiosity

I think of it like planning a road trip. We know where you want to go, but we map it out together, adjust as we go, and take detours when we need to. That’s how real healing works.

EMDR helps us go deeper — not just talking it through, but actually clearing what’s been holding on, so you can move forward feeling lighter and more steady.

I’ll bring tools, perspective, and steady support. You’re always in the driver’s seat.

Healing can feel exciting, vulnerable, even a little scary at times. But you won’t be doing it alone.

We are on a journey together.

Clients often tell me I feel different from other therapists they’ve worked with.
They appreciate having a clear direction — a roadmap to guide the work, even when we take unexpected turns.

Many share that my steadiness stands out — that not much rattles me.
That grounded presence helps them internalize a calmer, steadier way of being.(I credit my own therapist and mentors for helping me embody that. I’ve had my share of curveballs, and I trust we can handle whatever comes into the room.)

I show up warm, grounded, and enthusiastic.

I bring humor when I can, and love weaving in small human moments:"Oh, I binge-watched that show too." "Have you tried Chobani creamer? 10/10 recommend."

These moments matter — they remind you I’m a real person, here to support you.

Above all, I value consistency, reliability, and deep respect for your autonomy.

Let’s talk about the
past-present dance.

Often, what feels heavy now connects to experiences you’ve carried for a long time — whether from childhood, earlier seasons, or recent chapters that left a deeper mark.

Together, we’ll gently explore those connections — honoring what’s happening now and what may still live quietly underneath.

That’s what therapy is: noticing how the past echoes into the present, and doing the steady work of breaking patterns that no longer serve you.

We’ll explore parts of the self and how emotions move through the body.
Sometimes that includes somatic tools, breathwork, or a little “woo” — stones, chakras, or energy work — if that feels helpful. (And if not, that’s okay too.)

Always blended with grounding, clinical intention, and plenty of curiosity.
