EMDR therapist in Connecticut

Meet Laura

Therapy for women moving from mental chaos and into quiet confidence.

You might feel a little all over the place right now — like you’re in the brave, unpolished middle of your story.
But deep down, you know you’re on the right track.

You don’t need a fixer.
You need a guide. A wing-gal.
Someone to help you chart a new course forward.

Hi, I’m Laura.

I help women who are tired of trying to outthink patterns that run deeper than their thoughts.
Together, we’ll uncover what’s been stuck underneath — so you can feel
lighter, steadier, and free to enjoy the life you’ve worked hard to build.

I see you. I see how much you’ve carried.

Let’s do therapy differently.

Young woman with shoulder-length brown hair, wearing a black cardigan over a striped shirt, sitting on a beige sofa with plants in the background.

This is your invitation to go deeper — to get to the root and finally feel real relief.

My Approach

At its core, therapy is about curiosity—gently exploring what’s beneath the surface with openness and compassion.

I think of it like planning a road trip. We know the general destination, but we’ll prepare together, choose your route, and adjust as we go.

There may be detours, pauses, or unexpected turns. Whether we're navigating anxiety, old wounds, or something else entirely, we move at your pace.

As your co-pilot and wing-gal, I’ll offer tools, perspective, and steady support—but you’re always in the driver’s seat. Consent and collaboration are at the center of our work.

You always have a voice. You always have a choice.

Like any meaningful journey, it may feel exciting, scary, validating, or vulnerable — but you don’t have to navigate it alone.

We are on a journey together.

Clients often tell me I feel different from other therapists they’ve worked with.
They appreciate having a clear direction—that general roadmap to guide the work—even when we take unexpected turns.

Many have shared that my steadiness stands out — that not much rattles me.
And that grounded presence helps them internalize a calmer, steadier way of being. (I credit my own therapist of and mentors for helping me embody that!) I’ve had my share of curveballs over the years, and I trust we can handle whatever comes into the room.

I show up warm, enthusiastic, and grounded.
I bring humor when I can, and I love weaving in those small human moments:
“Oh, I binge watched that show too,” or “have you tried Chobani creamer? 10/10 recommend.”
These moments matter—they remind you I’m a real person, here to support you.

Above all, I value consistency, reliability, and deep respect for your autonomy.

Let’s talk about the
past-present dance.

What’s happening in the present:
- thought looping till 2am
- lack of confidence
- feeling broken
- unable to shut off the noise in your brain
- constant pressure in your chest

is often deeply connected to what came before.
Together, we’ll gently explore those connections —perhaps patterns from childhood or seasons of life that still shape how you move through the world today.

It’s about connecting the dots.
Noticing how old experiences continue to echo into the present.
And doing the meaningful work of breaking patterns that no longer serve you.

We’ll explore parts of the self and the way emotions move through the body.
Sometimes that might include somatic tools, breathwork, or even a little sprinkle of the “woo” like stones or understanding your chakras—if that feels right for you. Always blended with clinical intention, solid grounding, and plenty of curiosity.
