EMDR therapy for women in Connecticut

Meet Laura

EMDR therapy for women ready to break patterns and feel like themselves again.

I see you, I see the struggle.

You feel all over the place right now—like you're managing some things REALLY well but crumbling under the weight of others. You don't need someone to fix you. You need a guide, a co-pilot to help you discover a new way forward.

Hi, I’m Laura.

I'm an EMDR therapist who helps women like you break the patterns of doing it all and carrying it all.

Here's what I know: You know your looping thoughts, anxiety, patterns of perfectionism and over-functioning are not working. You understand that the patterns causing your anxiety are deeply rooted.
You get it—but understanding and changing are two different things. That's where EMDR therapy comes in.

Together, we'll uncover what's been stuck underneath—so you can feel lighter, steadier, and free to enjoy the life you've worked hard to build.

Therapist in Connecticut providing intensive EMDR therapy for high-achieving women

This is your invitation to go deeper — to get to the root & finally start feeling real relief.

My Approach

At its core, therapy is about exploration & curiosity

I think of intensive EMDR therapy like planning a road trip. We decide where we’re headed, map it out together, and stay open to what we discover along the way. Sometimes we take detours. Sometimes we find things we didn’t expect. That’s how real healing works.

I’ll bring tools, perspective, and steady support. You’ll bring your inner wisdom—and you’ll always be in the driver’s seat.

Healing can feel exciting, vulnerable, and even a little scary at times. But you won’t be doing it alone.

Intensive EMDR therapy for trauma healing and emotional clarity in Connecticut

We are on a journey together.

Clients often tell me I feel different from other therapists they’ve worked with. They appreciate having a clear roadmap—even when the path takes unexpected turns.

They also notice my steadiness. Not much rattles me, and that grounded presence helps them internalize a calmer, more regulated way of being. (I credit my own therapists and mentors for that!) I’ve had my share of curveballs and trust we can handle whatever shows up.

I show up warm, grounded, and engaged. I bring humor when I can and love weaving in small human moments: “I binged that show too.” “Chobani creamer? 10/10 recommend.”

These moments matter—they remind you I’m a real person, here with you.

Most of all, I value consistency, reliability, and deep respect for your autonomy.

Let’s talk about the
past-present dance.

Often, what feels heavy now (anxiety, not so helpful patterns) connects to experiences you’ve carried for a long time — whether from childhood, earlier seasons, or recent chapters that left a deeper mark.

Together, we’ll explore those connections — honoring what’s happening now and what may still live quietly underneath.

That’s what therapy is: noticing how the past echoes into the present, and doing the steady work of breaking patterns that no longer serve you.

We’ll explore parts of the self and how emotions move through the body.
Sometimes that includes somatic tools, breath work— even a little sprinkle of “woo” — stones, chakras, or energy work — if that feels helpful. (And if not, that’s okay too!)

Always blended with grounding, clinical intention, and plenty of curiosity.
