Some people need the steady rhythm of weekly sessions to build foundation and safety. Some are ready to go deeper in longer, less frequent blocks of time. Some start one way and shift as the work evolves.

What matters is that the format fits where you are, not the other way around.

That's why we don't start with a preset structure.

What does this look like?

Most of our work together moves through natural phases. The format we use is guided by where you are in each one.

Building the Foundation We start by understanding what you're carrying. We map your patterns, explore the past-present connections, and build the internal resources your nervous system needs before we go deeper. For many people this happens in weekly or bi-weekly sessions.

Going Deeper When the foundation is ready, we create more space for EMDR processing. This is where longer sessions come in, not because weekly sessions aren't valuable, but because some work needs uninterrupted time to complete. No rushing. No watching the clock. No losing momentum.

Integration and What Comes Next After deeper processing work, the format shifts again. Some people return to weekly sessions. Some step back and check in periodically. We follow what the work needs.

Weekly Sessions
50 mins | $200
A steady, consistent rhythm. Good for building foundation, rapport, maintaining momentum, and the ongoing work of therapy.

Extended Session
2 hours | $500
More uninterrupted space to go deeper. Enough room for your nervous system to settle, open, process and integrate. Most effective when meeting twice monthly.

Intensive Session
3 hours | $750
A concentrated block for focused depth work. Enough space to go somewhere real and leave with a sense of completion. Most effective when meeting at least once monthly. Option to meet multiple days in a row for intensive EMDR work.

FAQs:

  • The 90 minute intake and follow up sessions may be done online. All intensive EMDR sessions are held in person at my office in Farmington, CT.

  • Nope! EMDR is not only for people who identify with having trauma or a difficult childhood. While EMDR was originally developed to treat PTSD, it works by supporting how the nervous system processes experiences, not by labeling events as traumatic.

    Many people who had generally supportive upbringings still feel stuck, anxious, or overwhelmed in certain areas of life. Stress, pressure, relationship patterns, or experiences that felt manageable at the time can still shape how your nervous system learned to respond. Part of my role is to help uncover those patterns and gently support your system in responding with more ease, even when there is no single event you would call “trauma.”

  • Yes! Some clients prefer to see me in an intensive EMDR format where we are meeting for 2-3 hour blocks to directly address a specific experience keeping you stuck.

  • You don’t have to have it all figured out. If you’re feeling stuck and open to trying something different, that’s often a sign that this might be worth exploring. Whatever you decide, I trust you to make the choice that is best for you. If you’re curious to learn more, I’d be happy to connect and provide additional details to support your decision. This is a space where you can take your time, ask questions, and choose what aligns with your healing.

    Readiness looks different for everyone. Key indicators include:

    • Emotional stability in daily life

    • Support system in place

    • Familiarity with using coping skills effectively

    • Time and space for the intensive and recovery

    • Desire to address specific reproductive experience

  • You won’t be left alone in the middle of big emotions. We take time to give you grounding skills and prepare your nervous system for deep work. You are always in control, and we go at a pace that feels safe for you.
